Social Responsability
Ethnic Peru is committed to supporting community constantly. To this end, we have two programs that we have developed since the year 2005 generating in both cases the commitment of both community and company, to develop and better three important aspects: education, culture and economy. We are oriented to helping the communities related to our industry: alpaca shepherds and those who work in the area of production. We want to be part of their personal development within their communities, helping them to preserve the valuable cultural heritage of many centuries.
Organized Mothers Group
One of the very important parts of the process of fabricating
alpaca products is the finishing process. During this phase we offer employment to a group of more than 150 organized mothers who finish the products by hand, those that require embroidery, fringe, crochet, etc. We share with them the certainty that their artistic work is of great value, finishing garments knitted on modern machinery. There is an additional value of pride woven into each final product.
One of the very important parts of the process of fabricating
Ethnic Peru is aware of the problems that exist
around us. We want to invest in our communities’ potential and build a better world. To do this, we are focusing our attention on the school aged children in the community of Korihuayrachina (km 88 of the train line from Cusco to Machupicchu). We permanently offer the children a daily, enriched, nutritious, balanced breakfast to start their studies with. In the future we would like to expand the program to include families and smaller children in the community, bettering quality of life and building a culture of peace.
